The language is the entry requirement and the advantage
Almost every route into Japan asks for a documented Japanese level, and the same certificate that opens an application is what makes you employable there later. It is the one part of the process that cannot be delegated to a consultant, which is why it is where we start.
Part-time work is legal and it is regulated
International students may apply for permission to work limited hours alongside study, with higher limits during long vacations. The hours and the conditions are set by immigration and change, so treat any figure you read online, including ours, as something to confirm at the time you apply.
Vocational and academic routes both exist
Japan has a substantial vocational sector, senmon gakko, alongside its universities. A student whose record would not support a four-year degree abroad often has a real practical route in Japan that leads directly to employment.
An economy that needs young people
Japan has an ageing population and growing demand in IT, healthcare, hospitality and engineering. A graduate who speaks Japanese is competing in a market that is short of them.
Safe, organised, and survivable in year one
Low crime, clean cities and reliable transport. That sounds like a brochure line until you remember the first year abroad is usually the first year living alone.
